# Ordinary

`Ordinary` データベースエンジンは、旧来のデータベースエンジンです。各テーブルのメタデータを個別のファイルに保存しますが、現在は [`Atomic`](/ja/reference/engines/database-engines/atomic) に置き換えられています。

  `Ordinary` は非推奨です。新しいデータベースには使用しないでください。

## データベースの作成

`Ordinary` データベースを作成するには、[`allow_deprecated_database_ordinary`](/ja/reference/settings/session-settings/allow-deprecated#allow_deprecated_database_ordinary) を有効にする必要があります。

```sql theme={null}
SET allow_deprecated_database_ordinary = 1;

CREATE DATABASE legacy
ENGINE = Ordinary;
```

## 移行

新規のデータベースには `Atomic` を使用してください。オープンソース版 ClickHouse のデフォルトのデータベースエンジンであり、ノンブロッキングな `DROP TABLE` や `RENAME TABLE` を含むアトミックなメタデータ操作をサポートします。
